It is with immense sadness that the Council General International advises you of the death of our dear fellow member and President of SSVP New Zealand, Terry Jordan, on December 26th. Terry had assumed the presidency in October 2021 and was married to Julie with whom he had 7 children. Terry passed away from a serious illness he had been suffering for some time.
Terry was a man of deep faith, he knew very well the value of the friendship that gave birth to the Conferences and the essence of our spirit of service. This was evident when he recalled in his inaugural speech that material help has no cause without spiritual help, as well as the importance of closeness to those assisted. May his example serve all Vincentians.
The Council General asks for prayers for the soul of our brother Terry and for the Lord to give strength to his wife Julie and children to cope with this great loss.
